For over twenty years Patrick Secchiari has been active throughout Switzerland conducting choirs with passion, and he has made his name through his innovative concerts. As well as engagements in theatres and at festivals he conducts successful choirs in Seftigen, Bern, Glarus and Jona. He taught choral conducting for ten years at the College of the Arts (Hochschule der Künste) in Bern and also led the Youth Opera in Biel for three years.
Secchiari studied singing and conducting at the music colleges of Fribourg and Bern and participated in international masterclasses with Simon Halsey (Radio Choir of Berlin), Frieder Bernius and Ralf Weikert, among others. He is currently the president of the choral Swiss Federation Europa Cantat SFEC and is also engaged in further studies with Túpac Mantílla (R.I.T.M.O).
